Hi and welcome to my blog!

Back in 2013 I started this blog in order to “journal” all my crafty projects.

I enjoy doing many different things including biking, swimming, speech and debate, cooking, crafting and spending time with my family.

Here I’ll be sharing my crafting endeavors including knitting, sewing, making cards, quilling, etc. As a swimmer I eat a lot so I’ll also be sharing some recipes here (mostly desserts since that seems to be the things I make most).

Through God’s grace I became a Christian, saved by the work of Christ on the cross.

Titus 3:3-7 (NASB)
For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,  He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

As a Christian I want everything I do to glorify God including my crafting projects and blog posts.

My blog names is inspired by the book Betsy-Tacy and Tib by Maud Hart Lovelace. In Chapter 5 all three of the girls are left at home by themselves. They decide to cook something. Here’s an excerpt from that chapter:

“I don’t know  how to cook,” said Betsy. “But I think it’s time I learned.” She looked around the kitchen. “Do you know what I’d like to cook first?” she asked.

“What?” asked Tacy and Tib.

“It’s called Everything,” said Betsy. “It’s called Everything because it’s got everything in it.”  Tacy and Tib looked puzzled and Betsy explained. “A little bit of everything there is, cooked up in one pan. I think it would be delicious.”

Later on we see the final name of this concoction:

“What’s the name of it?” asked Tib.

“Oh, its name is…let’s see…” said Betsy.

“Everything Pudding would be good,” said Tacy.

“That’s right,” said Betsy. “Its name is Everything Pudding.”

While I’ll stick mainly to recipes and crafts every post will be different. My blog is a version of Everything Pudding, lots of different things all in one blog.

Hopefully my posts will inspire you to finish a project, start a new one, or a learn a new skill. Let me know what you think and what project you’ve been working on.

Thanks for stopping by!
